Thank you everyone for your support and coming out to see Golden Stone's summer show "The Music Man" written by Meredith Willson. The original Broadway production earned 6 Tony Awards including Best Musical!
With his fast talking style, “Professor” Harold Hill, a con-man, convinces the parents of River City, Iowa to buy instruments and uniforms for their youngsters in order to save them from “Trouble”. But Hill doesn’t count on falling in love with the town librarian. Chaos ensues as Hill’s credentials are questioned and he is called upon to prove himself to the citizens of River City.
The musical score is simply wonderful with such songs as “Till There was You”, “Seventy-Six Trombones”, “Gary, Indiana”, “Wells Fargo Wagon”, “Trouble” and “Goodnight, My Someone” . The music is so catchy that the River City school board becomes a barber shop quartet! Come celebrate a long time family favorite with us and sing along with all the classics...
